Boardroom In Black

For my own purposes, I divide the history of the CoS into four parts:

1. It’s founding by Dr LaVey in year One, Anno Satanas, coinciding with the publishing of the Satanic Bible – the philosophical underpinnings of Satanism.
2. The casting out into the desert a rag tag group of black clad, ant-eater worshiping poseurs. Dr. LaVey assets that progression in the hierarchy of the CoS is to be determined by real accomplishments in one’s own life.
3. The passing of Dr. LaVey in 1997, which culminated in Magus Peter Gilmore becoming the 2nd High Priest of the CoS
4. Today, where more thoughful Satanists are expanding and refining Dr. LeVay’s principals and philosophies. Examples include recent writings by Magus Gilmore and Magister James Sass – particularly the concept of “Deep Satanism”

It is the intention of my own writings here to continue the newly born refinement of Satanic ideas for those who care to employ them. An arrogant statement for certain, but I am completely confident that I can back my shit up with results.

In order to have meaningful discourse on any subject that can be understood objectively, it is critical to have a defined lexicon of terms important to the discussion. If the purpose of communication is discussion and understanding, this is key to both logic and rhetoric (furthermore, it is a fundemental tenet of what has come to be known as, “Deep Satanism”). In my first attempt at real discourse,  I will be defining the term “business” as it applies here. The goal of this is to broadly set the stage for the purpose of this blog. If I am successful in accomplishing this, I will stimulate your interest, further stroke my properly inflated ego, and rightly position myself to be lusted after by really hot Satanic women (important aside: naked pictures of beautiful women in email to me is strongly encouraged, is always welcome, and may very well be rewarded). Listen closely my friends, for the Pied Piper is about to start his tune.

I started this site a couple of months ago, soon after I finally mailed my check into the Church of Satan for membership. Soon after, I began to fill out my CoS Active Membership application, which triggered a time of self reflection, clarification, and analysis. I’ve known for years that I am a Satanist, and nothing or no one can make any difference here. Mailing a check into the CoS is nothing more then having enough money on hand, little more. To apply for Active Membership, however, it to go beyond oneself, to officially declare oneself as a Satanist, and to be judged by the CoS if one is deluding oneself or not. It is an act of Greater Magic, as it is a formal declaration of both What Is, and What Is To Be. In order to be right with my own sense of ethics and honor, I needed to make time to ensure not only that this was true, but most especially, is becoming an active member something I want to do.

After much reflection, I have concluded without reservation that becoming an Active Member in the CoS is what I want to do, and I want this for more then simple ego gratification reasons. This post explores some of this self analysis.
